 Dr. In Ho Lee
Dr. In Ho Lee became Korea’s first female ambassador when she was appointed to
the post of Korean Ambassador to Finland in 1996. Dr. Lee served in this
position for two years before taking on the key assignment of Korean Ambassador
to Russia. Following her service in Russia in 2000, she became President of the
Korea Foundation. Dr. Lee, a renowned academic in the field of western history,
has placed the importance of young women in the forefront of her activities,
serving as a Board Member for ten years of the Korean Association of University
Women and for 6 years as a Board Member of the Korea Women’s Hot Line.
