Mini-Grants for Public-Private Partnerships to Educate Women


Following the Ministerial Roundtable which kicked off the Summit on June 14 and featured 48 female government ministers discussing public-private partnerships to promote women's economic advancement, the Summit is awarding three mini-grants to economic development projects around the world.  Each of the following projects will receive a grant of $5,000 to ensure the project's continuation and growth.
  • The first grant will go to a project in Tanzania, which is aimed at developing women's entrepreneurial skills
    Submitted by: Hon. Mary Michael Nagu, Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs
     
  • The second grant will help educate women on the use of modern information technology in the Republic of Georgia
    Submitted by: Hon. Bela Tsipuria, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia
     
  • The third grant will support a project of South Africa's Ministry of Environmental Affairs and Tourism to help develop women's skills to grow and market medicinal plants indigenous to Africa
    Submitted by: Hon. Rejoice Thizwilondi Mabudafhasi, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Trade and Industry
